Kauai Vacation 2009: Day 1

What do you do at 5 AM on your first day of vacation in Kauai? You get up, of course. Especially when your 6-month-old and 26-month-old are wide awake and ready to start the day. Our first day at Kiahuna Plantation was great, although we were all a bit weary from such a long day of travel on Monday. Our condo is spacious, has a great view, and thank God is across the street from a coffee shop. It’s funny to think about the fact we were here just three years ago for our wedding, sans children. Today we relaxed, shopped and spent an hour at the beach so Henry could fulfill his dream of building sand castles. Tomorrow: more of the same.
