More 3-Day Walk Training

To distract ourselves from the fact that Emotional Rescue is temporarily out of commission, the Fry Family Quartet did 14 miles with the double stroller on Saturday so Kristine could get in another training walk in preparation for the big Susan G Komen 3-Day walk in September.

Who knew Carkeek Park was only 7 miles from Fry Lodge? And, who knew it’s impossible to actually walk into the park without endangering your life (the winding road in has no shoulders). So much for our playground promise to the kids.  We made up for it by hitting a neighborhood park on the way home, which happened to come complete with a band playing military songs for our enjoyment.  Seattle is an amazing walking city.  We saw parts of the city we never see – from Greenwood Ave storefronts to the rolling neighborhood hills of Phinney Ridge and Fremont. I can’t move my legs today, by the way.
