My brother-in-law, Brian, dressed up in his annual Dr. Buttcakes costume so that he and I (not pictured in my banana costume) could take our kids out trick-or-treating. The entire experience far surpassed my expectations. Henry the cowboy made me carry his horse after the first house. I must have been a sight – a walking banana with an unidentified beverage in one hand and a stick with a horse head in the other.
With our cowboy and bumble bee in the care of Brian and Jesse, Kristine and I headed to Poulsbo, the Pacific Northwest’s “Little Norway” (think Leavenworth on the water). Got into port in time on Saturday to catch the Huskers’ win over Missouri in a Poulsbo sports bar. Woke up to a beautiful day on the water. Forgot any kind of vessel for heating water for coffee.
