Groundhog Day

There’s really only one thing every year we do exactly the same way, at exactly the same time: cut down the Fry Lodge Christmas tree. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we go to Mountain Creek tree farm, find the same kind of of tree (Noble Fir), lay down the same blue tarp so I can get under the same size tree in the same yellow rain coat to have the same issues cutting down our Christmas tree with our same rusty red saw. But that’s not all. For the past three years, we have run into the same family at the same restaurant as we go to lunch after cutting down our tree (the Fry Lodge faithful will remember last year’s beer-spilling incident).  Looking forward to the same thing next year.
