Kayak season!

The Fry Family Quartet took advantage of some excellent spring weather on Lopez Island this weekend – to try out the latest addition to the Fry Lodge kayak fleet, compete in foot races at Sharks Reef, roast marshmallows, and partake in other favorite Lopez activities. The only downer of the day was when Henry’s balloon escaped and floated up into the pine tree branches about fifty feet up. It took some convincing that climbing into the tree to retrieve the balloon was not an option. Finished up the day with a campfire. Will start tomorrow with a 6:30am ferry  back to reality.

We’re aiming for the 7 a.m. off of Whidbey tomorrow, traffic tonight was horrendous! Hope to take both my kids kayaking soon too, but we’ll need to have Henry share his fashion tips ahead of time. That’s an awesome hat.
