The Move: Part I

Despite the bridge collapse on I-5, we and our stuff made it to Fry Lodge Mud Bay this weekend. We have spent the last two days unpacking a third of our belongings. A garage can be an amazing thing. We’ve never been – and will likely never be again – this organized.

Tethered

We set up Kristine’s tether ball game this weekend. The fierce Fry competitive spirit has quickly emerged. Henry is a natural. Ruby’s objective so far is to avoid being hit by the ball.

Lopez Love

We’ve been at Fry Lodge Mud Bay this weekend, enjoying the typical Lopez activities: beach combing, bike riding, and marshmallow roasting. Yesterday Henry, Ruby and I took a hike at Sharks Reef.  It was the first time we made it through to the end of the trail without my having to carry one of them.

Henry’s Portfolio

At the end of the year, St. Joe’s kindergarteners take their parents through the work they’ve accumulated over the school year. Today, Henry Owen Fry took Kristine and me through his various assignments – everything from numbers  (he can count and add!) to words (he can read and write!).  We are so proud.  Thank you Mrs. Cedergreen. Thank you St. Joe’s.
