Henry’s birthday weekend continues

Henry had a full and momentous birthday on Saturday. He started the day by playing his last soccer game of the season, and scoring the FIRST goal of his life! After celebratory donuts, we opened presents, which plunged the Fry Family into wii land. God help us.

After prying the game controllers from the kids’ hands we went to see Mr. Doolittle and Sherman at the Regal Cinemas, which was actually pretty good, even if half the jokes were over the kids’ heads. We followed that with a beautiful walk home along the Hudson River. And then we had dinner at Henry’s favorite restaurant, Red Farm, where we had an amazing dinner complete with Pac Man dumplings.

Henry had a great birthday, made extra special by the visit from Grandma and Grandpa Fry, who also made life a lot easier this week with school pick ups, homework oversight and good times all around.
