This afternoon we motivated to drag the kayak out of the garage to take advantage of the clear sky and calm water. Henry, Ruby and I paddled to the end of Mud Bay, where we were not disappointed. We saw deer on the shore, starfish clinging to rocks, red beaked birds scavenging on little outcroppings and seals poking their noses above the glassy surface of the water. We’re now grilling our dinner as we listen to some of our favorite early 80s Stones vinyl: Tattoo You and Emotional Rescue. Life is good.
